“Emma has walked my dog many times over the past few years, both in a group and on his own. He absolutely loves her and goes mad whenever he sees her! She has also house & dog minded for us on many occasions – sometimes for weekends and sometimes for our main annual holiday. She is careful and considerate, always leaving the house immaculate (I think cleaner than when she arrived sometimes!) and is very respectful of our home. The mutt has been well looked after and is happy and relaxed on our return. She keeps in contact with news of what they have been up to together! I would 100% recommend her to look after pets and houses. I am pretty choosy about dog care as my dog is epileptic and needs to be medicated twice daily. I have never had a moment’s worry with Emma in charge.” D.Radda

“Emma has looked after Charlie on/off for 9 years, often he’s stayed at hers but this time around she came and stayed at mine whilst looking after him. He always has a great time with her, and her staying at mine was a relief as Charlie’s no spring chicken anymore (he’s 14), so it meant he could be within the comfort of his own home. Emma also left the place spotless (possibly cleaner than I left it 😅). I’d never hesitate to recommend her and know Charlie is in the best of hands when she looks after him.”

“I’d like to thank Emma for looking after my two Labradors, Millie and Oscar for the last 20 months. They have really enjoyed their walks with Emma and the rest of the pack, coming home well exercised. They were always happy to greet Emma when she picked them up. Emma has been completely reliable, always turning up whatever the weather and making alternative arrangements for times when she has been away. If there has been a problem with the dogs she has always dealt with it and let me know. If the dogs came home muddy, or if Oscar rolled in fox poo, Emma always cleaned them up and dried them off before letting them back in the house. Emma has dog sat for me on several occasions: I have felt completely comfortable with her staying in my home – she has always left it as she found it, and I have had the reassurance of knowing the dogs are being well looked after in the of their own home rather than being confined to kennels. I have no hesitation in recommending Emma as an excellent dog walker and dog sitter, she does a great job.”

“We first met Emma almost two years ago (now more like 8!) when we needed someone to look after our dog, Coco, while we were away. Since then she has stayed in our house multiple times to look after Coco and also now takes Coco for a walk three times a week.  She is an absolutely brilliant dog walker – she is reliable, happy to step in with short notice and gives the dogs a great outing. She also takes care to leave the house tidy after staying. Coco has an amazing time every walk, returning absolutely exhausted after chasing other dogs, swimming, running after balls and playing in fields. Emma has even taught her new tricks. Most tellingly, if Coco hears Emma’s van or her voice she starts going crazy in the house. I couldn’t recommend her more highly to someone looking for a pet sitter or dog walker. The best in town!!!” K. Scott

“My black lab Kaylie is a little over a year old and she loves to walk, play and run but I work all day.  So instead of her sitting home alone all day, Emma at Bark and Stride takes Kaylie on walks, runs and adventures Monday through Friday. I’ve been lucky to be at home a few times when Emma has come to collect Kaylie for her daily walk and it was wonderful to see how happy and excited Kaylie was to see Emma (I should mention that Emma was really happy to see Kaylie too!).  Emma quickly taught Kaylie to run alongside a bicycle and drink water from a squeeze bottle so she stays hydrated when they really exercise for an hour (it’s one of those clever ideas you wish you would have thought up). If you like, Emma will take your dog on field trips out in the countryside and Kaylie loves these adventures especially when they involve swimming.  When I travel, I don’t worry about boarding and kennels anymore because Emma pet-sits Kaylie at home for me.  It’s so great to come home from a trip to have both your dog and house in great shape.  If you love your pet, you won’t do any better than to make Emma and Bark and Stride part of their lives.” L.  “Emma is great with cats too! Like most cat owners, I could never imagine
sending my cats away while I’m on holiday, and while the neighbours are
happy to feed them, I like someone to stay with them when I’m away for
longer. Emma looked after my two cats and my house while I was away for a
week, and I would wholeheartedly recommend her as a house and pet sitter! My
cats love lots of cuddles and play time, so it was great to have Emma around
to give them both food and attention.
Having someone looking after the
house also means big peace of mind. I returned to two very contented felines
and a very tidy house.”

“Emma has walked my collie cross, Molly, for over a year; she’s had after her overnight when I’ve been away and I’ve also accompanied her on a walk with a full pack. She’s 100% reliable, honest and fantastic with the dogs. They get plenty of exercise whatever the weather and I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending her to other owners.” M. Twiss

“It’s been over a year now that I’ve used Emma to look after Charlie and I couldn’t be more pleased with the service – and even more importantly, neither could Charlie! I am usually not very comfortable with leaving him with other people and you can usually tell by his behaviour, if I have been away and return, but with Emma however he almost doesn’t want to come home with me. I have also been fortunate enough to join her on some of her walks and I have only positive things to say about her way with dogs. She takes them to dog friendly places (read: lots of fun!), where she ensures they are activated and exercised according to their needs, with great attention for every dog on the walk. It’s very obivous that she genuinely loves dogs and I couldn’t recommend her more – even though I now live in London, I have not been able to let her go and still use her to look after Charlie for when I go away etc.” K. “We always know that our cats are in good hands with Emma when we’re away on holiday. She gets along with them well and they get play time in addition to being fed! Emma is our first choice of pet sitters in Cambridge!” L. and S. Wulund

“I can highly recommend Emma. I’ve been using her services for the past year and my cat has always been well looked after, and has been calm and happy on my return home. She has even been able to provide support at short notice which has been a huge help to me.” G. Dainty

“Bark and Stride are always professional and friendly. I trust that Maisy, my cat, is in good hands whenever I have to travel away from home.” T. Gray

“I recently moved to Cambridge from London, where my dog Barney had the same dog walker for years, so I was rather nervous about finding someone new. Then along came Emma! I knew as soon as she came to visit us at home I knew that she was perfect. Emma is such a positive, kind, gentle soul and Barney immediately felt relaxed and happy around her. I was completely at ease with Emma from the start because it was obvious to me that she knew all about dogs and their behaviour, especially in a ‘pack’ situation; and she was also lovely and friendly and talked me through how everything worked. As well as dog walks, I often had Emma to dog/house sit for me if I was away for the weekend or on holiday. It was such a relief to know that Barney and the house were being brilliantly looked after, and I could enjoy myself without worrying! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Bark and Stride to anyone that wants complete peace of mind that their dogs are in fantastically capable hands AND having a load of fun to boot!” S.
